What God's After

There are a lot of moments where we need to reflect on what matters most. Through the ups and downs of practice growth, team development, and family life, we must always remember God is after our hearts. When we live with this perspective, we can breathe easy knowing life is ultimately about who we are in Him, not in what we do.

When we base our lives around our relationship with Him, everything else will follow after. You see, “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives” ( Psalms 37:23, NLT). As long as we are following after God, He will continue directing each one of our steps. When we make every decision through who we are in Christ, He will delight in every move we make. It’s my hope that everything we do will bring a smile to God’s face.

Here are 3 opportunities to put your relationship with God first:

  • Lean into God’s grace as you allow Him to help you become more like Him.

  • Before making any big decision, pray about it first and seek His wisdom on the situation. 

  • Find your value in who you are in Him, not in the amount of people you see or size of your practice


If you were to reframe your thinking with these 3 opportunities, you would experience a closer relationship with God. It really is what matters most. When you lean into your relationship with Him, He will take care of the rest.
