3 STEPS OF FAITH

To reach anything God has given you a vision for, you’re going to need faith. You’re going to need to believe, regardless of what you see or what seems possible, that God is faithful to what He said. The writer of Hebrews explains faith this way: “Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we cannot see” (Hebrews 11:1 CEV). Before anything materializes, we must first trust God that it will.

The second thing we need to do in order to accomplish the dreams God has given to us, is taking action on what we believe. Faith not only agrees with God, but acts on what it’s agreeing to. In other words, faith is taking action. James (2:26) goes even further to say, “Anyone who doesn't breathe is dead, and faith that doesn't do anything is just as dead!” Think about that. If we don’t do anything about what we believe, our faith is lifeless. We need to do something about what we believe, and we’ll bring what we have faith for, to life.

So, now that we know we need to believe, and take action on what we believe, what does action look like? It’s taking practical steps toward building what we’re believing for. That could look like writing down your vision, creating goals, and making a checklist to reach your goals. When we realize that faith is as practical as it is spiritual, we’ll begin doing a lot more with what we believe. In doing so, we’ll reach our dreams, not by hoping they’ll come true, but by building their reality through faith.

Remember, with God all things are possible,
