With Us This Christmas

“Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us” (Matthew 1:21, NLT).

Jesus is with us, here and now. In the busyness of the holiday, let us not become familiar with the word “Christmas” and really reflect on what it means. Our God, maker of the universe, came to this planet as a child, to become one of us, bringing Heaven to earth. Christmas is the celebration of Jesus’ birth, His goodness, and His ever present love for us. We serve a God who is never out of reach, closer than we ever imagine, and who is always with us.

“And when they saw the star, they were so ecstatic that they shouted and celebrated with unrestrained joy. When they came into the house and saw the young child with Mary, his mother, they were overcome. Falling to the ground at his feet they worshiped him” (Matthew 2:10-11, TPT).

During your time with family and friends, remember to reflect on who God is to you, what He’s done in your life, and how through your relationship with Him, has changed everything for the better. The Shepherds were “so ecstatic that they shouted and celebrated with unrestrained joy.” Let’s spend some time celebrating how incredible God is this season. He really is the reason for it all.

Remember, with God all things are possible,
