The Mindset of Jesus

When you are in step with Jesus, you are walking on the path to become more like Him. As you follow His lead, you must take on His mindset. In 1 Cor 2:16, Paul explains that, “We have the mind of Christ.” Although, this is true, you must actively choose to operate within those thought patterns.

In Philippians 4:8, Paul says to, “Keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always.” When you filter your thoughts through the direction of Phil 4:8, you will get a more accurate understanding of which thoughts need to be kept and which thoughts need to be replaced.

As a child of God, you are continually being shaped into His likeness. In Ephesians 4:23-24, we are told to, “Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.” As you continue choosing Christ-like thoughts, and allowing the Spirit to renew your mind, you will not only become more like Jesus, but live the abundant life He has promised you.
